If you’re looking for a unique experience to keep you motivated over the winter season then look no further than Brighton Marathon. Whether you are taking part in the main event, the BM10k, BM Ride or Mini Mile Races, this spring weekender has something for everyone.
A new marathon route was introduced in 2023. Goodbye Shoreham Port! As a result participants and spectators alike will experience even more cheering, motivation and atmosphere to help get you through the 26.2 miles.
Marathon Tours & Travel have secured fantastic hotel options close to the centre of it all so you can maximise your time in the vibrant city of Brighton. Tickets sell fast and we can secure your spot in this extremely popular event by purchasing our accommodation and entry package. Each of our hotels are available to be booked from today if you wish to make your Brighton Marathon weekend last a little bit longer.
Saturday 6th April, 2024
Arrival Day
Make your way to Brighton and on arrival check in to your chosen hotel. Usually hotel rooms are ready after 3pm; if you arrive earlier please be prepared to leave your luggage with the hotel concierge and head off to explore Brighton.
The rest of the day you can relax and prepare for race. If you have any questions, please ask one of the Marathon Tours & Travel Team.
This also the day of the mini mile races.
Sunday 7th April, 2024
Race Day – 10K & Marathon
This is the day you have trained so hard for! After an early breakfast please get ready to leave the hotel for the Brighton Marathon or 10K.
10K starts at 9am
Marathon starts at 9.45am
Both races finish next to the Beach Village on Brighton seafront. The Beach Village will become a hive of activity and celebration as runners reunite with friends and family and enjoy the live footage on big screens, food, bars and an atmosphere like no other at a running event.
Family and friends can organise their days in their own time and pace to support and spectate along the race route if they wish. The Marathon Tours & Travel team will be happy to advise. After the race make your way back to the hotel, freshen up, celebrate…you deserve it!

The Leonardo Hotel Brighton offers an on-site restaurant (from 18:00) and and an all-day Costa Coffee bar. The hotel is located a short walk away from the event start and finish, allowing you to maximise the weekend ahead.
Rooms are spacious, accommodating 2-3 adults with two children under twelve, or just one guest. Rooms provide a Freeview flat-screen TV, free WIFI, and air conditioning. Room service is available upon request and a public car park is available really close by.
Brighton train station is a convenient four minute walk away.

About the Brighton Marathon

The Brighton Marathon & 10kis not just a Marathon, the weekend includes lots of different events.
The Beach Village will be a hub of activity, situated on Brighton seafront, next to the marathon and 10K finish line. You can expect to find post-race massage, food, bars and a live screen.
The Beach Village is free to enter so family, friends and the local community can gather and enjoy the atmosphere.
Over 12,000 runners take part in the marathon each April, enjoying a course that starts in Preston Park at 9.45am, snakes its way through Brighton city centre, along the glorious seafront and finishes at the iconic Madeira Drive in front of thousands of cheering spectators. Afterwards, celebrate your achievements with friends – old and new at the unique Beach Village where you will find a range of street food trucks and stands, bars serving alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks and big screen coverage.
Please note, all runners will be sent their race packs in advance.
More About Brighton
Brighton is a seaside resort located within 50 miles of London. Travelling to Brighton is easy as the city is just a 60 minute train ride from London and only 30 minutes train ride from Gatwick Airport. Brighton Station is right in the city centre so you will be able to smell the sea as soon as you step off the train.
Getting around is simple as it is a compact city and easy to explore on foot or public transport. Make time to visit the city villages too including Hove; famous for its colourful beach huts & Regency architecture, and Rottingdean, a picturesque, traditional English village. Discover Brighton attractions such as the Brighton Pier, the Royal Pavilion and the brand new British Airways i360. To make your booking, click on the orange button at the top of the page, ensuring that you select the correct number of rooms and types for all members in your party plus all the required extras. When you book, we will require a deposit to confirm your place.
Payments
When you confirm your booking, we will take a deposit payment. Subsequent payments are taken automatically.
The cost of the event entry is non-refundable.
Travel Advice
It’s important be up to date with the latest information about where you’re travelling to and what documents you need to have in order to travel.
For information about travelling to the UK and your requirements as a non-British passport holder, you should check the overseas travel details on your own government’s website.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is an essential part of any holiday you take, and we highly recommend that you purchase suitable insurance for your trip. You must ensure that your travel insurance policy covers you to participate in running events in the UK.
Starting Pens and Bib Numbers
Although we are licensed to sell official entries for the 2023 Brighton Marathon, we have no influence over the allocation of starting times and bib numbers.
Closer to the event we will send you a link which will allow you to complete the registration process for the Brighton Marathon. Once you have finalised the registration process, the race organisers will allocate you a starting time and bib based on the information provided.
